3rd European Symposium on Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure

The director of the ISSP UL, Dr. phys. Andris Anspoks and the head of the ISSP UL’s Infrastructure Department, Dr. phys. Valdis Korsaks participated in the 3rd European Symposium on Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure (ENRIS) 2023 from May 15 to May 17 in Paris-Saclay, France. The conference was organized by the Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (C2N).

This was a unique symposium focused on the management and operations of the clean room facilities for micro and nanofabrication. Andris Anspoks had an opportunity to present ISSP UL’s infrastructure and share experiences with peers from Europe, Japan, and the USA. During the conference, the aspects discussed were business models of nanotechnology facilities, personnel training, and new concepts.

The event enabled ISSP UL’s infrastructure and nanotechnology specialists to connect and plan visits for training, experience exchange, and joint activities.

During ENRIS 2023, the ISSP UL representatives had also contacted local hosts C2N laboratory and agreed on following visits to start cooperation in photonics.

ENRIS is an international symposium on nanofabrication cleanroom operation, management and user training, organised every two years by the European consortium EURONANOLAB (euronanolab.eu).
