Infrastructure and expertise of ISSP UL’s scientists presented at Crystal Clear Collaboration meeting

Leading researcher from ISSP UL’s Laboratory of Kinetics in Self Organizing Systems Dr.phys. Anatoli Popov, as a board member, participated in the 71th Crystal Clear Collaboration (CCC) meeting and CCC board meeting (18-19 November, 2021), which took place at CERN - Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire in Geneva, Switzerland.

Anatoly Popov presented an overview of the latest results obtained at the ISSP UL in the field of scintillators, radiation detectors and luminescent materials.

The board meeting also discussed in detail the scientific plans for the next year and how the member groups could interact with each other.

The purpose of this meeting was to show knowledge of the ISSP UL researchers and available infrastructure, as well as to actively participate in the work of the CCC, and offer the ISSP UL’s expertise for future cooperation.

Since 2017, the ISSP UL is a partner of Crystal Clear Collaboration, which is an international platform active on research and development on inorganic scintillation materials for novel ionizing radiation detectors, for high-energy physics, medical imaging, and industrial applications.
