Intelligent coating for interactive robotics and exoskeleton solutions

Upgrade that is facilitated by CAMART2 project, gives fruit in finding collaboration partners and carrying out the research and efficient transfer of new materials and technologies into products for commercial and public benefits based on exchange of knowledge and synergy with innovation-intensive partners.

The University of Genoa (Italy) in cooperation with the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) has submitted a project application to the Horizon2020 program for intelligent coating of interactive robotics and exoskeleton solutions "SestoSenso". The project received good evaluation, but it did not win this time. It will be improved and submitted in appropriate call in 2021.

The SestoSenso project aims to give physical intelligence to interactive robots and exoskeletons currently used by industry. The project envisages the development and testing of a set of sensory solutions that would improve the functionality of currently available interactive robots, increase the safety of exoskeletal users, resulting in a significant expansion of both robotic and exoskeletal applications. The lead partner is the University of Genoa and the list of eight project partners includes science and technology organizations from Latvia, Italy, Spain, France, Slovenia, Sweden and the Netherlands.
