ISSP UL Development Department explores collaborative opportunities at European Innovation Council Baltic Info Day at Vilnius University

During their visit to Vilnius University and participation in the European Innovation Council Baltic Info Day, the Head of the Development Department, Mr. Janis Latvels, and the Senior Expert of Innovations, Mr. Girts Ozolins, engaged in various activities. Their visit took place on April 15th, while their participation in the Info Day occurred on April 16th, 2024.

At Vilnius University (VU), they were warmly welcomed by Dr. Kristina Babelytė-Labanauskė, the Head of the Innovation Office, and Ms. Anzelma Ūseliene, the Head of the Research Projects Office. The purpose of their visit was to exchange knowledge and best practices in innovation support, technology transfer, and potential EU CSA projects aimed at capacity building and fostering innovation development.

Furthermore, ISSP UL representatives held a separate meeting at VU’s Life Science Center, hosted by Dr. Daumantas Matulis, the Director of the Life Sciences Centre, and Yoram Lev-Yehudi, the Coordinator of International Research Projects. The focus of this meeting was on exploring collaboration opportunities and discussing potential joint EU projects, particularly in the field of microfluidics research. The meeting included a tour of their biotechnology labs.

During the European Innovation Council Baltic Info Day, the primary objective of the ISSP UL experts was to gain insights into EIC Pathfinder, Transition, and Accelerator calls. This knowledge aimed to equip them with additional information and potential topics for future project proposals.
