On May 16-17, the EuroNanoLab Steering Committee Meeting convened in Helsinki, featuring the ISSP UL director, Andris Anspoks, who serves as a member of the Steering Committee and vice-chair of the EuroNanoLab consortium.
During the meeting, participants agreed to establish several working groups focused on dry etching, lithography, data management, and training. They also initiated the formation of new groups dedicated to thin film technologies, internal project applications, and the development of a unified tool and service catalog.
Additionally, attendees discussed plans for the upcoming European Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure Symposium (ENRIS), scheduled to take place in Italy from May 13-15, 2025.
The committee reviewed progress on the Consortium Agreement, including signatures and amendments, and established a legal working group. Steering Committee members also explored new partnership opportunities with institutions in the UK.
Being part of the EuroNanoLab community is of significant importance for the ISSP UL. It not only enhances collaboration opportunities with leading research institutions but also allows access to state-of-the-art resources and expertise in nanofabrication. This affiliation fosters innovation and positions ISSP UL at the forefront of advancements in micro- and nanotechnology, ultimately benefiting both the institution and the broader scientific community.
EuroNanoLab is a cutting-edge distributed research infrastructure that comprises over 40 academic nanofabrication centers across Europe. Its primary vision is to accelerate research in the micro- and nanotechnology sectors by transforming a fragmented landscape of nanofabrication facilities into an integrated knowledge base, thereby supporting scientific excellence and providing researchers with a fast track to results.
