ISSP UL research in water quality monitoring presented at the Water Knowledge Europe 2023 conference

Representative of ISSP UL’s Development Department, Ģirts Ozolinš, participated in the Water Knowledge Europe 2023 conference and matchmaking event organized by Water Europe, which took place in Brussels on October 18th and 19th, 2023.

At the conference, Ģirts Ozoliņš presented the Spectromarine technology and project of water quality analysis and monitoring. He also participated in the B2B matchmaking event to find potential partners for Horizon Europe 2024 calls related to water where Spectromarine technology might be used, as well as potential customers and partners for Spectromarine field tests and further R&D. During the event, new contacts were obtained, and each participant received a pre-selected list of water-related Horizon Europe calls for 2024 that ISSP UL would evaluate for potential applications.

Water Europe actively participates in water policymaking with the European Commission and, with a high success rate, participates in Horizon Europe calls as a communication & dissemination partner. It has more than 250 members, both from government, academia, and industry, which gives a competitive advantage and much higher chances for ISSP UL to succeed with Horizon Europe projects related to the water sector in Europe.

Water Europe is an NGO that unites all water ecosystem stakeholders across Europe to promote water technology & innovation at all levels and verticals to build a Water-Smart Society. As of June 2023, ISSP UL is a member of Water Europe.
