New cooperation opportunities from Optics and Photonics Days in Finland

Representatives from the ISSP UL’s Materize platform for collaboration with industry established within the scope of CAMART2 project Chris Blackbird and Pēteris Lesničenoks participated in the Optics and Photonics Days in Turku, Finland on 1-3 December 2021.

The event’s program covered several topics in line with Materize’s research and development service activities offering an opportunity to meet new customers and partners. Among the topics of interest were fibre optics, sensors, coatings, mirrors, characterization, multi-functional materials, physical science instrumentation, physical and chemical sensors, electro-optical devices, laser systems and technologies, and optical instrumentation. The ISSP UL’s representatives were optimistic about the future cooperation with the companies met at the event.

The Optics & Photonics Days academic conference program consisted of submitted contributions as well as invited talks, plenary speakers, panel discussions and other related activities. The industrial program did not have submitted contributions and the industrial program committee organized the industrial sessions independently. Academic sessions included presentations and poster presentations.
