On October 16-17, representatives from ISSP UL Laboratory of Prototyping of Electronic & Photonic Devices, Laboratory of Materials for Energy Harvesting and Storage and MATERIZE Project participated in Optics & Photonics Sweden conference, which is the major annual event for the Optics and Photonics industry and research community in Sweden. Participation of ISSP UL representatives in the conference helped with creation of new industry contacts, presenting ISSP to new clients and discuss collaboration possibilities. Number of interesting contacts and discussions were developed at the exhibition and conference sessions as well as with the presentation at the Nordic Photonic Workshop and at the posters area. More than 20 companies were exhibited and there were more than 130 participants in the conference.
Representatives from ISSP UL established good scientific contacts with 3 separate laboratories in Stockholm, where overlap of topics could be identified. Two of those were really open to work together on a publication, testing our ISSP materials in their projects as a reference, develop new technologies together. Contacts with companies have been very beneficial and even large name companies have topics of interest that could be solved with the expertise of ISSP. Further contacts with these companies will potentially prove how good of a research partner we are to manufacturers – industry, who are located abroad.
