Seminar “An insight in research data management”

On October 19, representatives of the CAMART² communication and dissemination work package participated in a partly digital seminar “Insight in research data management”. It was organized by the Science Department of the University of Latvia, Library of the UL, project OpenAIRE-Advance and the National Open Access Service.

During the seminar, participants could find out about the issues of research data management, the meaning of the data management plan (DMP) and the basic principles of its development, as well as get an idea of the application of the principles of openness in science.  

During the seminar, Aleksandrs Mārtiņš Blūms, a branch expert of the Higher Education, Science and Innovation Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia, presented a report on planned national level support measures for the promotion of Open Science, including the Latvian Open Science Strategy, whereas Ingmārs Kreišmanis, Head of the Expertise and Analytics Division of the Latvian Council of Science, informed about current issues in the context of open access and scientific publications in Europe.
