Marija Dunce recently represented the ISSP UL at the prestigious international conference Electroceramics XIX, held from August 19-22 at Vilnius University in Lithuania. With around 150 attendees, the event served as a vital platform for researchers and industry professionals to exchange insights and advancements in the field of electroceramic materials.
During the conference, Marija delivered an engaging oral presentation titled “Challenges in Producing High-Quality Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-Based Bulk Ceramics and Free-Standing Thick Films.” This research, conducted in collaboration with colleagues from Vilnius University, highlighted significant challenges and breakthroughs in the production of these advanced materials.
In addition to her presentation, Marija engaged in productive discussions with key representatives from Vilnius University, including Jūras Banys, Šarūnas Svirskas, and Martynas Kinka. These conversations fostered new connections and enriched her understanding of current trends and innovations within the field.
The primary objectives of Marija’s participation were to showcase the expertise of ISSP UL researchers, disseminate their findings, and cultivate relationships for future collaborations. The biennial Electroceramics conference is recognized as one of the foremost international gatherings for academic and industrial researchers, focusing on recent developments in piezoelectrics, ferroelectrics, thermoelectrics, multiferroics, and other materials critical for energy storage, sensors, and transducers.
