The director of the ISSP UL, Andris Anspoks, participated in the EuroNanoLab consortium steering committee meeting, which took place on June 28 – 29 in Prague, Czech Republic. The main topics covered in this meeting were - updates from the members, approval of the 2022 budget, approval of the updated Consortium Agreement, the priority of activities in 2022, report from the dry etching, lithography, and data management (including the common catalog of the equipment) groups, participation in the Horizon Europe calls, Web page update, and ENRIS 2023 conference organization.
The steering group approved the budget, activity plan, and updated consortium agreement. It was decided that the current focus would be on creating a single database of all tools and processes available from EuroNanoLab accessible for external users and creating a single-entry point and user request management. All working groups restarted their activities after the remote stage during COVID-19 caused restrictions.
EuroNanoLab is a new distributed research infrastructure consisting of over 40 state-of-the-art academic nanofabrication centers across Europe. Its main vision is to accelerate research in the micro- and nanotechnology sector by enabling the transformation of a fragmented landscape of nanofabrication facilities into an integrated knowledge base supporting scientific excellence and providing researchers with a fast track to results.
