On June 2, members of the Saeima representing the Education, Culture and Science Commission visited the ISSP UL. The guests were met by the Director, Dr. Phys. Anrdis Anspoks and Deputy Director for Science, Dr.habil.Phys. Andris Šternbergs, who informed the guests about the institute, main research directions, and latest achievements.
The members of the Saeima had an opportunity to see the infrastructure upgraded within the scope of the CAMART2 project, visit the renovated laboratories, talk with the researchers, and learn about the capabilities of the institute’s state-of-the-art equipment. The visit revealed the significance of the institute’s scientific research in Latvia and globally.
