ISSP UL Deputy Director for innovation Andris Anspoks participated in the Novel High k Application Workshop organized by NaMLab (Nanoelectronic materials laboratory) in Dresden, Germany on March 9-10 with the aim to explore opportunities for potential projects and cooperation. New challenges offered by the application of high-k dielectric materials in micro– and nanoelectronics were discussed by more than 80 participants from industry, research institutes and universities. The main focus was on the ferroelectric properties of HfO2. In the series of annual workshops NaMLab has created a stimulating platform for application-oriented scientists to exchange ideas and discuss latest experimental results.
