On September 24-27, deputy director in science Andris Šternbergs and Head of Laboratory of Ferroelectric Materials Ēriks Birks participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Multiferroics: fabrication, properties, application» in Vitebsk, Belarus.
The goals of the conference were to bring together academic scientists, researchers and specialists to present and exchange their experiences and research results relating to multiferroic materials, focusing attention on future trends and needs, establishing and expanding international scientific relations and cooperation.
During this conference reports “Modern trends in functional materials and technologies and “Some research aspects of NBT based compositions” described research directions, actual for laboratory of ferroelectric materials were presented.
Another purpose of meeting was strengthening of cooperation with teams from various countries working in the research area of common interests concerning research of multiferroics and ferroelectric materials, environment-friendly multiferroic perovskites.
