SPIE Photonics West is the leading event for the photonics and laser communities. This year it took place in San Francisco, USA on February 4 - 6. Every year over 22 000 people attend the event. Over 5,000 presentations covered a wide range of topics including biomedical optics, biophotonics, industrial lasers, optoelectronics, microfabrication, MOEMS-MEMS, and displays. Plus, over 1,300 exhibiting companies were at their booths with the latest in optics and photonics technology
ISSP UL visited more than 40 booths of various companies in the field of photonics and discussed cooperation possibilities. Several lectures were attended with topics about biophotonics, silicon photonics for medical applications and microfluidics. Simultaneously also SPIE AR/VR/MR conference was held in Moscone Center, where industry talks, panel discussions and courses took place. Latest headsets were showcased by Microsoft HoloLens, Magic leap, Waveoptics, ISSP cooperation partner Lightspace Technologies and other companies.
