First online Teaming club match-making event took place on 7 December 2023, focusing on the materials research collaborations to be fostered between the 9 Centers of Excellence present.
Intention of the day was to share the unique competences of the leading centers from Widening countries which are funded under H2020/Horizon Europe Teaming program.
Each of the centers has received 15M EUR direct investment for centers development from European Commission and 15M EUR or more from local funding for infrastructure investments.
Event took place over Zoom and gathered participation of more than 40 leading researchers, leadership and key personell of the the Centers of Excellence.
Presenters at the event were Dr. Jacek Jagielski (Nomaten CoE, Poland), Dr. Argiris Laskarakis (Nope-Nano CoE, Greece), Dr. Branimir Bajac (Antares CoE, Serbia), Dr. Arita Dubņika (BBCE CoE, Latvia), Dr. Anna Sandak (InnoRenew CoE, Slovenia), Dr. Sanin Zulić (HiLase CoE, Czech Republic), Dr. Dušan Galusek (FunGlass, Slovakia), Dr. Andris Sternbergs (CAMART2 CoE, Latvia), Dr. Dorota Anna Pawlak (Ensemble3 CoE, Poland).
Presentations stimulated numerous discussions and initiated potential collaboration topics in the field of materials research: ceramics, crystal growth, laser technological applications, organic and printed electronics, photonics, sensors, batteries, bio and medical applications, nuclear enabled research and possibilities for shared infrastructure use in joint projects.
Direct contacts were established and will be further pursued in the following-up for complementary and mutually beneficial research collaborations.
Event was hosted and moderated by Coordinator of CAMART2 CoE project – Dr. Andris Sternbergs and it’s operational project manager Andris Ozolins.
