Head of the Infrastructure Department of the ISSP UL Valdis Korsaks visited the Cleanzone conference and exhibition that took place in Frankfurt, Germany, on November 23-24. The event was organized by Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH. Great atmosphere, reunion, and knowledge transfer: 1,500 participants from 38 countries and 82 exhibiting companies came together for Cleanzone 2022 and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the international trade fair for cleanroom and cleanliness technology, hygiene, and contamination control. Exhibitors presented products and solutions for current challenges. In addition to the exhibitors’ products and solutions, the highlights at Cleanzone 2022 included the top themes of automation, sustainability, and the challenge of supply chains. The top themes were discussed intensively during the Cleanzone Conference.

Valdis Korsaks attended a Cleanzone lecture “Important basics and trends in textile leasing”, by Jörg Mesenich, a certified GMP hygiene officer with many years of experience and expertise in this field. During the lecture, participants could learn about the necessity of cleanroom clothing, a suitable clothing system, the most important dressing principles and current trends and models in textile leasing.

Valdis Korsaks also attended a conference presentation entitled “ISO 14644-4, “Content and use of the standard” by Frans Saurwalt, who has 30+ years of experience in consultancy, design, construction, commissioning and qualification/validation of facilities and systems in pharma, biotech, healthcare, food and mechatronics industries. The presentation was devoted to the role of surface cleanliness in contamination control.
